In this extraordinarily engaging conversation, I’m talking with Kasia Urbaniak, the founder and CEO of The Academy - A School of Power for Women, and author of upcoming book Unbound: A Woman’s Guide To Power.
Kasia brings a truly unique approach to her work, which is teaching women the foundations of power and influence and supporting them to step into leadership positions in their relationships, families, workplaces and wider communities.
Over the course of nearly 20 years, she has worked as a professional Dominatrix, practiced Taoist alchemy in one of the oldest female-led monasteries in China, and obtained dozens of certifications in different disciplines, including Medical Qi Gong and Systemic Constellations.
In this episode, Kasia reveals some of the subtle signs where that ‘good girl’ conditioning shows up in our life, and how this can lead to so much of a woman’s energy going into physical, emotional and energetic labor in an unconscious way. The result? Feeling exhaustion, frustration, unseen and unacknowledged in your life and not having “me time” to tend to passion projects and personal goals.
We discuss the meaning of power, and Kasia offers very interesting insights into how women can use their voice to respond to power imbalance and recover their sovereignty, choices and decision making capacities. Along with many other fascinating and exciting explorations, we also talk about the pitfalls of aspiring to be selfless, and how being selfish, in a way that feels good, actually better equips us to see the positive impacts we desire.
Health & Life Coach Heidi Hauer shows you how to use intuitive tools and access life-changing mindset shifts that support you in leading an abundant, meaningful and successful life.
