In this beautiful episode, Barri Leiner Grant gently guides us into the experience and practice of grief.
Barri is the founder of The Memory Circle where she facilitates workshops and gatherings for people who have lost loved ones so they can come together to share stories, be in community and release what they are holding on to. After losing her Mum, Ellen Jane, in 1993, her vision was born from a desire to make the grief cycle a shared emotional experience.
Barri generously shares her own experience of losing her Mum, while unpacking the complexities and challenges we face collectively in preparing for, recognising and grieving loss. She shares small, but powerful, practices we can all do to tend to our grief. Barri also teaches us how to honour the loved ones we’ve lost in a way that is nourishing and responsive to our current state of feeling. She also encourages us to, where possible, celebrate the person and relationship that’s come to pass.
Barri is a stylist, author, self-proclaimed vintage junkie and proud mum. For nearly three decades, she has established herself in the editorial and commercial markets, working with leading architects, photographers and designers who call on her “trend-spotting” expertise. With her entrepreneurial spirit, Barri has co-created a jewellery company based on her love of vintage. Her background in yoga and meditation adds a spirited touch to her work and the world around her.
Health & Life Coach Heidi Hauer shows you how to use intuitive tools and access life-changing mindset shifts that support you in leading an abundant, meaningful and successful life.
