Prof. Dr. Lavinia Heisenberg ist Physikerin und lehrt und forscht im Bereich Relativitätstheorie mit Fokus auf Kosmologie am Institut für Theoretische Physik an der ETH Zürich. 2018 erhielt sie als zweite Frau den renommierten Gustav-Hertz-Preis der Deutschen Physikalischen Gesellschaft. Neben der Liebe zur Physik verfolgt sie das Ziel Astronautin zu werden. 2022 schaffte sie den Schritt ins Auswahlprogramm der ESA für die nächste Space-Exploration-Mission und durchlief zahlreiche Testphasen.
